Selection of cutting discs for ordinary cutting machines
Ordinary cutting machines usually refer to cutting machines with fixed cutting tables, power <3KW, and a speed of 2900 rpm. Ordinary cutting machines usually cut workpieces with a diameter of less than 50mm. However, due to the low cutting power, in order to reduce radial friction resistance, we usually choose a cutting disc with a thickness of 3.2mm. In this way, the cutting disc is thinner and has a certain elasticity, and it will feel sharper when cutting.
Selection of cutting discs for high-power cutting machines
High-power cutting machines usually use cutting table power greater than 5.5KW, speed up to 2800 rpm, and cut workpieces with larger diameters. Because the torque force is large during cutting, the damage to the cutting disc is also relatively large, so the cutting disc is required to have a certain rigidity. We usually choose a cutting disc with a thickness of 3.8mm. At the same time, due to the large cutting diameter, the resistance of the cutting disc will also increase, and the temperature generated on the cutting surface will be very high, so it is very important to reduce the cutting temperature. If conditions permit, add water cooling during cutting. Experiments have shown that if water cooling is added during cutting, the durability of the cutting disc can be increased by 1.5-2 times. However, there are occasions where there is no condition for water cooling. Therefore, when Jixiang Abrasives produces high-power cutting discs, powdered coolant will be added according to the formula to reduce the temperature generated during cutting and increase the service life of the cutting disc.
